Warranty & Complaints


Naturally, Rooftopshop does its utmost to deliver products to you in top condition. It is of course possible that something breaks during transport or that something else happens that makes you want to make a claim under the warranty. Legally, you are obliged to report this to us within two months of discovering a defect. If the defect falls within the warranty, we will arrange repair or replacement free of charge. Rooftopshop gives a 50-year warranty on all products.

Unfortunately it does happen sometimes. Something doesn't go exactly as it should or as planned. We recommend that you first report your complaint to us. We are happy to help you. If this dispute does not lead to a solution, you can register the dispute for mediation via Stichting WebwinkelKeur via https://www.webwinkelkeur.nl/kennisbank/consumenten/geschil From February 15, 2016, it is also possible for consumers within Europe to register a complaint via the European Commission's ODR platform. You can find this at https://ec.europa.eu/odr. If your complaint has not yet been addressed in another way, you are free to submit the complaint via the European Commission platform.

Right of withdrawal, reflection period & returns

Returns / reflection period in general:
At Rooftopshop you have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving any reason. After cancellation you have 14 days to return the items to Rooftopshop. The full purchase amount including shipping costs will be credited. You will be responsible for the costs of returning the items from your location to Rooftopshop. These costs vary depending on the carrier and the type of items. Contact your carrier for exact rates. You can also always contact Rooftopshop customer service. We have contacts with various carriers who can help you (at your own expense) with returning the items.

If you exercise your right of withdrawal, the product must be returned to Rooftopshop with - if possible - all accessories and in its original condition and packaging. If the product has been used more than is necessary to try it, we can pass on any depreciation to you. If you want to exercise your right of withdrawal, you can contact us via info@rooftopshop.nl or by telephone on 085-0600649. After Rooftopshop has received the items in good order, the order amount due will be refunded within 14 days.

Returns / cooling-off period for custom products:
Items purchased from Rooftopshop that are custom-made cannot be returned and are not eligible for the right of withdrawal or cooling-off period.

This applies in any case to the following products:
- EPDM roofing: this item is cut to your desired length from a roll of roofing. This means it cannot be returned.
- Powder-coated roof edges: when roof trims, deck moldings and compression profiles (regardless of the collection and dimensions) are ordered in a powder-coated finish (RAL colors), these cannot be returned. An affiliated powder coating company will powder coat the eaves in the color of your choice. This means that returns are not possible.
